Bi-Lo Thanksgiving Day Menu 2013

I hope everyone is excited for next week. I have made a menu for Thanksgiving Day for you. Everything works out to be about $43 including tax for everything. This only counts what you actually use of the product. Be sure to click on the links for the actual recipes. All of these are at least 8 servings, except the green bean casserole. You might want to make two batches if you have over 6 people. Most of it is made from scratch, but the items without links are store bought. The turkey that you will be buying will be frozen. It takes about 3 days to thaw in the refrigerator, so make sure you get it out of the freezer around Sunday. If you want a quicker way to thaw, just run the bird under cool water in the sink. It should just take a couple of hours this way. The day before Thanksgiving, lay out the loaf of bread on a cookie sheet so the bread can harden. Turn the slices at some point, so they will dry evenly. You can always just use one of the recipes to make a side dish to take somewhere else. If you shop by Saturday, you will get the sale price for the russet potatoes. They are no longer on sale Sunday. Everything else should be on sale until Tuesday evening. Enjoy!
